Bulgandry, New South Wales

Bulgandry is a village community in the central part of the Riverina. It is situated by road, about 6 kilometres north west from Rand and 12 kilometres south east from Walbundrie. The place name Bulgandry is derived from the local Aboriginal word meaning "boomerang in hand". Walbundrie Reefs Post Office opened on 1 July 1875, was renamed Bulgandry in 1900 and closed in 1975.

It was formerly the terminus of the Rand railway line from Henty, which opened in 1920 and closed in 1975. Rand Post Office opened on 1 January 1926.

Walbundrie

Walbundrie is a village in the eastern Riverina district of New South Wales, Australia. The village is located 546 kilometres south-west of the state capital, Sydney and 335 kilometres north of Melbourne. Situated on the bank of the Billabong Creek, at the 2006 census, Walbundrie had a population of 190. Walbundrie is in the Greater Hume Shire local government area. Billabong Creek passes immediately south of the town.

Brocklesby, although having only a very small population prides itself on having an active community, including a long-standing pigeon club. (The pigeon shed was taken down in 2011.
