Lowesdale, New South Wales

Lowesdale is a town community in Australia in the central south part of the Riverina and situated about 2 kilometres north from Buraja and 92 kilometres east from Berrigan on the Riverina Highway. At the 2006 census, Lowesdale had a population of 220 people. Lowesdale Post Office opened on 1 August 1876 and closed in 1994.

Coreen

Coreen is a locality in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. The locality is about 609 kilometres south west of the state capital, Sydney and 328 kilometres north of Melbourne. Coreen Post Office opened on 1 January 1900 and closed in 1976.

Corowa

Corowa is a town in the state of New South Wales in Australia. It is on the bank of the Murray River, the border between New South Wales and Victoria, opposite the Victorian town of Wahgunyah. Corowa is the administrative centre of Corowa Shire. The name could have derived from an Aboriginal word referring to the curra pine which yielded gum used by Aborigines to fasten the heads of spears to the shafts. Another translation is rocky river.

Corowa Shire

Corowa Shire is a local government area in the Riverina region in southern New South Wales, Australia. The area is located adjacent to the Murray River and the Riverina Highway. The Shire includes the towns of Corowa, Howlong, Balldale, Coreen and Daysdale, Rennie and Mulwala. The mayor of Corowa Shire is yet to be determined, following the 2012 local government election.
