Yagobie, New South Wales
Yagobie is a locality on the Inverell railway line in north-western New South Wales, Australia. It was a site of a railway station and tank opened in 1900 and closed in 1975. The area takes its name from a cattle station established in 1844 and later subdivided. The Gwydir River flows through the area, and a low level road crossing was constructed in the late 1930s.

Bingara Shire was a local government area located in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia, about 150 kilometres north of Tamworth via Fossickers Way. The Shire, administered from the town of Bingara covered an area of 2,853.7 square kilometres, and existed as a local government entity from 1906 until 2004, when it was amalgamated with Yallaroi Shire and part of Barraba to form the Gwydir Shire.

Bingara (Aboriginal for 'creek') is a small town on the Gwydir River in Murchison County in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia. In 2006, Bingara had a population of 1,207 people. and is currently the Administrative centre for the Gwydir Shire that was created in 2003. It has a culturally homogeneous population as residents are mostly of Anglo-Celtic background. Only 4.7% of the population is born overseas and 2.4% is of Indigenous background.

Gwydir Shire
Gwydir Shire is a local government area located in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia. The northern boundary of the Shire is located adjacent to the border between New South Wales and Queensland. The Shire was established on 17 March 2004, when the Yallaroi, Bingara, and a northern portion of the Barraba shires were merged. The seat of the Council is located in the major centre of the area in the town of Bingara. Other major towns include Warialda.
