Brackendale, New South Wales

Brackendale is a rural locality situated on the Riamukka Road about 29 kilometres south of Walcha, New South Wales within the Walcha Shire local government area on the Northern Tablelands in Australia. Brackendale was officially recognised as a locality in 1968 and currently comprises several houses and a church. The principal local industry is sheep and beef cattle breeding. Orundumbi Post Office opened on 1 October 1892 and was renamed Brackendale in 1924.

Niangala, New South Wales

Niangala is a village located on the south-eastern edge of the Northern Tablelands area of New South Wales, Australia. It is on the Moonbi Range which is part of the Great Dividing Range, at approximately 1,300 metres above sea level. The village is in Walcha parish in Parry County. At the 2006 census, Niangala and the surrounding area had a population of 163. Geographically isolated, the village is situated among pine tree plantations.

Mount Grundy

Mount Grundy is situated on the Great Dividing Range of northern New South Wales, Australia. The nearest large towns are Walcha and Tamworth. The native vegetation of the mountain has mostly been cleared for farming and pine plantations. However, there are remnant areas of eucalyptus forest with the rare Purple Pepperbush. Of special note is the cool temperate rainforest at the head of the Tia River.
