Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School

Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School is an academically selective, day and boarding, Public high school for boys, located at Calala, a small suburb of Tamworth, in northern New South Wales, Australia. It is the only public agricultural high school for boys in Australia. Established in 1939, Farrer is unique in Australian education, being one of the few agricultural secondary schools catering for both boarding and day students.

Cockburn River

Cockburn River, a perennial river that is part of the Namoi catchment within the Murray–Darling basin, is located in the Northern Tablelands district of New South Wales, Australia. The river rises in the west slopes of Moonbi Range, near Limbri and then flows generally west south west, joined by four minor tributaries, towards its confluence with the Peel River at Nemingha; dropping 109 metres over its course of 33 kilometres .

Calala, New South Wales

Calala is a small suburb of the Northern New South Wales city of Tamworth, administered by Tamworth Regional Council. The area is 4.5 kilometres, from the CBD of Tamworth and is connected to the city by Calala Lane, the main road, which often becomes flooded in times of heavy rain, usually isolating the residents from the rest of the city. Further along Calala Lane past Calala is Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School and the New South Wales Department of Agriculture plant research institute.

Piallamore, New South Wales

Piallamore is a small outer suburb of Tamworth located about 15 km South-East of the city. It is located within the Parry County Cadastral division of New South Wales in the New England region. At the 2006 census, Piallamore had a population of 370 people. Piallamore was first settled on the gently sloping hills at the base of the Moonbi Range and spread out to the fertile Peel River flats.
