Ulandra Nature Reserve
The Ulandra Nature Reserve is a 3930 hectare nature reserve approximately 25 kilometres south-west of Cootamundra and 4 kilometres south-east of the village of Bethungra, in New South Wales. The reserve is located on the western hills of the Southern Tablelands. The reserve's main feature is Mount Ulandra. Immediately west of the reserve lies an undulating 200–300 metres ( ) above sea level plain which rises abruptly at Mount Ulandra to its summit at 761 metres above sea level.

Eurongilly, New South Wales
Eurongilly is a locality in the central part of the Riverina and situated about 19 kilometres north west from Nangus and 21 kilometres south east from Junee. Clarendon Post Office opened on 1 January 1866, was renamed Eurongilly in 1886, and closed in 1926. Eurongilly is a typical example of the country town acceptance of the call to arms requests that occurred during the history of Australia.

Illabo
Illabo is a locality in the South West Slopes part of the Riverina and situated about 13 kilometres southwest of Bethungra and 16 kilometres northeast of Junee. At the 2006 census, Illabo had a population of 190. Illabo Post Office opened on 1 July 1879. A railway station on the Main South railway served the town between 1878 and the 1970s. A grain silo remains in use. The town is derived from an aboriginal word meaning 'where'.

Bethungra is a locality in Junee Shire in the South West Slopes region of New South Wales, Australia situated on the Olympic Way about 13 kilometres northeast of Illabo and 24 kilometres southwest of Cootamundra. Bethungra Post Office opened on 1 December 1875. Just to the north of the town lies the Bethungra Spiral, a rail spiral built on the Main South railway line to ease the gradients when the line was duplicated between 1941 and 1946.

The Bethungra Spiral is a rail spiral, built on the Main South railway line of New South Wales in Australia at Bethungra to ease the gradients when the line was duplicated between 1941 and 1946. Bethungra is between Cootamundra and Junee. The original line was graded at 1 in 40 for Sydney bound trains, which imposed a severe limitation on train loads, and also caused congestion as bank engines were attached.
