Moulamein is a small town in New South Wales, Australia, in the Wakool Shire. At the 2006 census, Moulamein had a population of 349 people. Moulamein is the oldest town in the Riverina. The town is located between Balranald, Hay, Deniliquin and Swan Hill, at the junction of the Edward River and Billabong Creek. The name Moulamein is derived from a local Aboriginal word meaning "the meeting of the waters".

Niemur River
Niemur River, a perennial stream of the Murray catchment and part of the Murray-Darling basin, is located in the western Riverina region of south western New South Wales, Australia. The river leaves Edward River, near Moonahcullah, flowing generally west north-west, joined by five minor tributaries, before reaching its confluence with the Wakool River, north of Swan Hill; descending 29 metres over its 155 kilometres course.
