Mangrove Creek, New South Wales
Mangrove Creek is a suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, located about 14 kilometres upstream and north of Spencer along the Mangrove Creek watercourse. It is part of the City of Gosford local government area. It derives its name from the waterway, which was first mentioned in 1829 by surveyor William Romaine Govett (1807-1848) in relation to mangroves in the area, which were burnt for ash which was used to make soap.

Mangrove Creek Dam
Mangrove Creek Dam is the primary reservoir for water supply to residents of the New South Wales Central Coast, operated by the Gosford/Wyong Councils' Water Authority, a joint operation of the City of Gosford and Wyong Shire. It is formed by impounding the headwaters of Mangrove Creek, a tributary of the Hawkesbury River. It was built in 1981 by the NSW State Government's Department of Public Works & Services and was managed by them.
