Yarrangobilly Caves

The Yarrangobilly Caves are located in a 12 km long karst region along the Yarrangobilly River valley in the north of Kosciuszko National Park, New South Wales, Australia. Discovered to British colonists by a cattleman, the Yarrangobilly Caves system includes several independent limestone caves formed over different time periods, from several million to a few hundred thousand years old. The older examples are in higher strata and have more speleothem decoration.

Tantangara Reservoir

Tantangara Reservoir (also known as Tantangara Dam) is a dam constructed as part of the Snowy Mountains Scheme in New South Wales, Australia. Tantangara Reservoir was constructed between 1958 and 1960. It is a concrete gravity dam with a wall height of 45 metres and a crest length of 216 metres. Its capacity is 254 GL. It is located on the Murrumbidgee River, some 6 km downstream of its confluence with Gurrangorambla Creek and is wholly within Kosciuszko National Park.

Yarrangobilly River

The Yarrangobilly River is a river of the state of New South Wales in Australia. It runs through Kosciuszko National Park, originating in the Fiery Range near Peppercorn Hill. From there it generally flows in a south-westerly direction through to the Talingbo Reservoir 40 kilometres away. The river is crossed by the Snowy Mountains Highway at Yarrangobilly.
