The Shire of Gayndah was a local government area located in the northern catchment of the Burnett River, Queensland, Australia. The shire covered an area of 2,709.3 square kilometres, and existed as a local government area from 1866 until 2008, when it amalgamated with several other shires to form the North Burnett Region. Paradise Dam (Queensland)
Paradise Dam, also known as the Burnett River Dam, is a dam in Queensland, Australia located on the Burnett River. The dam is situated approximately 20 kilometres north-west of Biggenden and 80 km south-west of Bundaberg. The dam is named for the ghost town of Paradise, which is now under water following construction. The Paradise Dam was constructed on behalf of the Queensland Government in 2003-2005 and is owned by a government-owned corporation, Burnett Water Pty Ltd.
