Millaa Millaa Falls

The Millaa Millaa Falls are adjacent to the town of Millaa Millaa, on the Atherton Tableland in Far North Queensland, Australia. Millaa Millaa is an Aboriginal word meaning plenty of water or waterfall. A popular destination of international tour operators, the falls are 18.3 metres high with a pool suitable for swimming at their base. The Millaa Millaa Falls are accessed by sealed road off the Palmerston Highway about 5 minutes from the township of Millaa Millaa.

Millaa Millaa, Queensland

Millaa Millaa is a small town on the Atherton Tableland in Far North Queensland, Australia with a population of 295. It is located approximately 60 km west of Innisfail, north of Ravenshoe, south of Malanda. At the 2006 census, Millaa Millaa had a population of 289. The town is known for the Millaa Millaa Falls, the Millaa Millaa lookout and rolling green meadows that enjoy high rainfall.

Dinner Falls

Dinner Falls is a waterfall on the upper Barron River in Far North Queensland, Australia. The waterfall is located south of Atherton on the Atherton Tableland near the Mount Hypipamee Crater in Mount Hypipamee National Park. Access to the falls is via a walking track.

Mount Hypipamee Crater

The Mount Hypipamee Crater, also known as The Crater is a huge diatreme located south-east of Herberton on the Atherton Tableland in Far North Queensland, Australia. It is 61 metres in diameter and 82 metres deep. It was first discovered by accident when in 1879 Weate and party nearly fell into it. They were heading towards the Mulgrave River on a 5 month gold prospecting expedition. The national park was established in 1908 under the sponsorship of Mr Ringrose of Herberton.

Tully Gorge National Park

Tully Gorge is a national park in Queensland, Australia, 1338 km northwest of Brisbane. The park forms part of the Wooroonooran Important Bird Area, identified as such by BirdLife International because it supports populations of a range of bird species endemic to Queensland’s Wet Tropics.
