Haslam is a small coastal village located 45 km north-west of Streaky Bay. Situated next to the sheltered waters of Streaky Bay, Haslam is a common stop off for campers as they make their way across the Nullarbor Plain. The town itself has no major industrial or commercial connections anymore and contains limited resources including a camping ground and the town jetty.

Acraman Creek Conservation Park
Acraman Creek Conservation Park is located on the northern side of Streaky Bay on the western side of the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, about half way between Ceduna and Streaky Bay townships. The park is 39.60 km² in size and contains the Acraman Creek estuary, pristine ocean beaches, sand dunes, mangrove, samphire and mallee habitats. It is an important feeding location for many coastal birds, including migratory waders such as sandpipers and stilts that journey from the Arctic Circle.

Perlubie Landing, South Australia
Perlubie Landing or Perlubie Beach is a coastal area 20 km from the township of Streaky Bay on Eyre Peninsula, South Australia. Access to the beach runs through private property at the current time. The name 'Perlubie' is derived from Aboriginal, meaning 'white sand hill'. A school was opened in Perlubie in 1922, but closed in 1942. Perlubie Beach has become renowned on the Eyre Peninsula for its unique New Years Day Race Meet on the beach.
