Mil-Lel is a settlement near Mount Gambier in South Australia. At the 2011 census, Mil-Lel had a population of 335. The name for this locality is believed to be a corruption of "Mullel", the name of a nearby waterhole. The name was historically spelled as two words: "Mil Lel" until the spelling was changed to "Mil-Lel" in the SA Government Gazette 28/5/2009. ABC South East SA is an ABC Local Radio station based in Mount Gambier, South Australia. The station broadcasts to the Limestone Coast region including the towns of Naracoorte, Millicent, Robe, Kingston, Bordertown and Keith. The station began broadcasting as 5MG in 1955. It originally broadcast only on 1476 kHz to the town of Mount Gambier. A second larger transmitter was switched on in 1956 (callsign 5PA) broadcasting on 1161 kHz to the wider South East region of South Australia.

Located on the slopes of the mountain of the same name in the south east of the state approximately 450 kilometres south-east of the capital Adelaide and just 17 kilometres from the Victorian border, it is the most important settlement in the Limestone Coast region and the seat of government for both the City of Mount Gambier and District Council of Grant.

While it is the southernmost city council in the state, the District Council of Grant is the southernmost council because it completely surrounds but does not include the city of Mount Gambier. The District Council of Grant is a local government area located in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia, and is the southernmost council in the state. The council was formed in 1996, after the amalgamation of the District Councils of Mount Gambier and Port MacDonnell, and currently surrounds the City of Mount Gambier local government area. The economy of the district is based around agriculture, forestry and fishing.
