Ramco is a town in the Riverland region of South Australia 170 kilometres north-west of the state capital, Adelaide and 7 kilometres west of Waikerie. At the 2006 census, Ramco had a population of 168. Ramco has a post office, a Lutheran church, a town hall and a school, Ramco Primary School. Ramco is an Aboriginal word meaning 'the spirit that walks'.

Cadell Training Centre
Cadell Training Centre is an Australian prison located in Cadell, South Australia, approximately 180 km north-east of Adelaide and 10 km from the town of Morgan. Named for the town of Cadell which is itself named after Captain Francis Cadell, who was the navigator on Charles Sturt’s successful exploration of the Murray River. The prison was official opened on Tuesday 31 May 1960 by the Chief Secretary of South Australia, the Honourable Sir Lyell McEwin.

Waikerie, South Australia
Waikerie is a rural town in the Riverland region of South Australia on the south bank of the Murray River. At the 2006 census, Waikerie had a population of 1,744. The Sturt Highway passes to the south of the town at the top of the cliffs. There is a cable ferry crossing the river to provide vehicle access from the north side of the river. The town of Waikerie derives its name from Weikari, which is claimed to mean 'the rising'.

Cadell, South Australia
Cadell is a town situated near the north western edge of South Australia's Riverland on the inside of the large southward bend in the Murray River. The town is named after Captain Francis Cadell, who was the navigator on Charles Sturt's exploration of Murray River. Cadell lies in the middle of a citrus growing area and is also home to a low security prison for men, the Cadell Training Centre.
