Rupanyup

Rupanyup is a small town in rural Victoria, Australia. As of the 2006 census it had a population of 624. The name Rupanyup is an Aboriginal word meaning 'branch hanging over water'. The Post Office opened on 22 February 1875 as Karkarooc and was renamed Rupanyup in 1876. The town has an Australian rules football team competing in the Horsham & District Football League. Golfers play at the course of the Rupanyup Golf Club on Frayne Avenue.

Lake Batyo Catyo

Lake Batyo Catyo is a man-made freshwater lake located 26km west of the town of St Arnaud in North Central Victoria, Australia. In normal conditions the lake surface area covers 230 hectares to an average depth of 2.5 metres. It is the terminus for water flowing from the Richardson River via Souths Creek and three smaller reservoirs to its southwest.

Minyip is a town in the Wimmera region of Victoria, Australia, 320 kilometres north west of Melbourne. It is in the Shire of Yarriambiack local government area. At the 2006 census, Minyip had a population of 579. The name "Minyip" is derived from the Aboriginal word for "Ashes". The town is known as the "Heart of the Wheat belt". Dryland agriculture especially grain production and handling is one of the region's major industries.
