Foxhow is a locality in Victoria, Australia, located 200 km south-west of Melbourne in an agricultural area at the northern end of Lake Corangamite. Foxhow Post Office opened around 1902 and closed in 1959 although an earlier office had a brief existence around 1870.

The Woady Yaloak River is a river in regional Victoria, Australia. It rises near Haddon, about 10 kilometres south-west of Ballarat, and runs through Smythesdale, Scarsdale, and Cressy before emptying into Lake Corangamite. The aboriginal word means 'running water' and has been spelt Wandinyallock, Wardiyallock and Worriyallock. There is a Woady Yaloak Primary School in Smythesdale and several places in the surrounding area are named after the Woady Yaloak.

Lake Corangamite
Lake Corangamite is Victoria’s largest natural lake, located near Colac in south-west Victoria, Australia in the Lakes and Craters region of the Victorian Volcanic Plains. The lake is hypersaline, and salinity levels have increased dramatically as the lake level has dropped in recent decades. It is Australia's largest permanent saline lake, covering approximately 230 km with a circumference of about 150 km. It forms part of the Ramsar-listed Western District Lakes wetland site.
