Ballarat North, Victoria

Ballarat North (also known as North Ballarat) is a suburb of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia located north of Ballarat's central area. Ballarat North is bounded by Norman Street; Ballarat General Cemetery and Western Freeway to the north, Howitt Street to the south, Doodts Road to the east and the Mildura railway line to the west. At the 2006 census, Ballarat North had a population of 3,884. Ballarat North is partly industrial and residential in nature.

Wendouree Centre for the Performing Arts

The Wendouree Centre for the Performing Arts is a multi-purpose performance venue located at Howitt Street Wendouree, in the Victorian town of Ballarat in south east Australia. It was completed in mid-2006 replacing the ageing "Timkin Hall" as Wendouree's premier theatre. It was built at an estimated cost of $8 million dollars.
