Little Murray River (New South Wales)

Little Murray River (New South Wales), an anabranch of the Murray River and part of the Murray-Darling basin, is located in the western Riverina region of south western New South Wales, Australia. The river rises northwest of Barham in New South Wales and flows generally northwest before reaching its confluence with the Murray River near Gonn Crossing in Victoria. Little Murray River and the Murray River enclose Campbells Island, that forms part of the Campbells Island State Forest.

Murrabit

Murrabit is a town in north east Victoria, Australia. The town is located on the Murray River, 305 kilometres from the state capital, Melbourne and 52 kilometres from Swan Hill. Murrabit is in the Shire of Gannawarra local government area and at the 2006 census, Murrabit and the surrounding area had a population of 408. The township was established in 1925 as a railway station on the Kerang-Stony Crossing Border Railway and is the site of an historic bridge.

Shire of Gannawarra

The Shire of Gannawarra is a local government area of Victoria, Australia in the north-west of the state. The main towns are Cohuna, Kerang and Quambatook. It has an area of 3,728 square kilometres. In 2006 it had a population of 11,296. The Shire was formed in 1995 from the merger of the Borough of Kerang and most parts of the Shire of Kerang and Shire of Cohuna. The northeastern border of the shire is the Murray River. The Loddon River flows through the shire, feeding into the Murray.
