Serpentine is a town in north west Victoria, Australia. Located on the Loddon Valley Highway, the town is 201 kilometres north west of the state capital, Melbourne and 51 kilometres north west of the regional centre, Bendigo. Serpentine is in the Shire of Loddon local government area and, including the surrounding state suburb, had a population of 380 at the 2006 census. Dingee Railway Station is an unmanned operational V/Line train station situated on the Bendigo-Swan Hill Line in the town of Dingee, 200 km north of Melbourne, Australia and 50 km north of Bendigo. There is a nearby park with toilet facilities, barbecue and sheltered picnic area and playground equipment. Raywood railway station is currently not in use and is located between Dingee and Eaglehawk stations.

Loddon River
The Loddon River is a 392-km long tributary of the Murray River that flows through central and northern Victoria, Australia. The river rises near Trentham and flows by Glenlyon. It then flows generally northward through Guildford and Newstead, 40 km west of Bendigo through the Cairn Curran Reservoir and Laanecoorie Reservoir and continues north through the town of Bridgewater. It then passes Serpentine and north to Kerang.
