Ensay is a small town located between Swifts Creek and Bruthen on the Great Alpine Road in East Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. Tambo Crossing, Victoria

Tambo Crossing is a locality and small farming community in the Shire of East Gippsland in Victoria, Australia. It is alongside the Tambo River on the Great Alpine Road, 57.5 kilometres north-east of Bairnsdale, surrounded by state forest. At the 2006 census, Tambo Crossing had a nominal population.

County of Tambo, Victoria

The County of Tambo is one of the 37 counties of Victoria which are part of the cadastral divisions of Australia, used for land titles. It is located in eastern Gippsland, between the Tambo River in the west, and the Snowy River in the east. It includes Lakes Entrance. Before the 1860s the area was part of the former counties of Combermere and Abinger.

Washington Iron Works Skidder

The Washington Winch is a steam-powered logging skidder, or cable winch. It was imported to Australia in the 1920s and was initially used to move the large Jarrah logs from the forests of Western Australia. It was later sold to the Forests Commission of Victoria for salvaging timber after the 1939 Black Friday fires.
