The Shire of Pingelly is a local government area in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, about 160 kilometres southeast of the state capital, Perth, between the Shires of Brookton and Cuballing along the Great Southern Highway. Popanyinning is a small town in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, along Great Southern Highway between Pingelly and Narrogin. At the 2006 census, Popanyinning had a population of 87.

Moorumbine, Western Australia

Moorumbine, also spelt Mourambine, is a small town located between Brookton and Pingelly in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. The area was first settled as a small agricultural community in the 1870s with an Anglican church, Saint Patricks, being built in 1873 at the expense of the local parishioners who raised the £77 required. The town was gazetted in 1884, which was prior to the planning and construction of the Great Southern Railway between Albany and Beverley.

Kulyaling, Western Australia

Kulyaling, formerly Kulyalling, is a small town just off the Great Southern Highway located between Brookton and Pingelly in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. A railway siding named Westbrook was the origin of the town. The siding was established in 1905 and then the local progress association petitioned for a townsite to be declared. The townsite was gazetted in 1906 as Westbrook but the Lands Department sought to change the name as Westbrook was already in use.
