Kendenup, Western Australia

Kendenup is a small town in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, within the Shire of Plantagenet. It is 345 kilometres south east of Perth and 22 kilometres north of Mount Barker. The Great Southern Railway (established 1889) passes through the town, being one of the original stations on the line. At the 2006 census, Kendenup had a population of 1,290.

Tenterden, Western Australia

Tenterden is a town located 328 km south-east of Perth in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The townsite is located on one of the sidings on the Great Southern Railway line. The siding was established in 1891 and shortly afterward the government made land available for agricultural purposes in the area. The town was gazetted in 1893 and is named after a town in Kent.

Cranbrook, Western Australia

Cranbrook is a small town in the Great Southern region of Western Australia between Katanning, Kojonup and Mount Barker, situated 320 km south of Perth. It is billed as "The Gateway to the Stirlings", referring to the nearby Stirling Range National Park. At the 2006 census, Cranbrook had a population of 280. The settlement grew after it was one of the original railway stations on the Great Southern Railway when the railway opened in 1889, and was gazetted a townsite in 1899.

The Shire of Cranbrook is a local government area in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, about 92 kilometres north of Albany and about 320 kilometres south-southeast of the state capital, Perth. The Shire covers an area of 3,277 square kilometres, and its seat of government is the town of Cranbrook.

Pardelup Prison Farm

Pardelup Prison Farm is an Australian minimum security prison located on a 2,600-hectare mixed-farming operation 27 km west of Mount Barker, Western Australia. The site was originally the home of Andrew Muir (1802-1874), a district pioneer and flour-miller, and became a prison farm in 1927. A work camp of the same name commenced in June 2002, initially accommodating 12 prisoners, and provides services to the Shire of Plantagenet.
