Koralm Railway

The Koralm railway is a 127 km-long double-track, electrified, high-speed railway that is under construction, and which will connect the Austrian cities of Graz and Klagenfurt. Construction started in 2001, and the entire railway line is expected to be operational by 2022.

Koralpe

The Koralpe, also referred to as Koralm, is a mountain range in southern Austria which separates eastern Carinthia from southern Styria. Running from north to south, it drains to the river Lavant in the west, and to the river Sulm in the east. Its highest elevation (2,140 meters) is the Große Speikkogel, a popular hiking destination and also a node for military radar airspace surveillance. In the south, towards the Slovenian border, it is contiguous with the Poßruck mountain range.

Lavant (river)

The Lavant is a left tributary of the Drava in the Austrian state of Carinthia. It originates in the small Lavantsee at the southern slope of the Zirbenkogel mountain in Styria, then turns southeastwards and after 7 miles reaches the border to Carinthia. The river flows through the towns of Bad Sankt Leonhard im Lavanttal, Wolfsberg and Sankt Andrä until it reaches the Drava shortly before it crosses the border to Slovenia.
