Waldviertel Pyramid

The Waldviertel Pyramid is a pyramid in Waldviertel, Austria. It is hidden deep in the forest between Zwettl and Gross-Gerungs. It is the only known structure of its kind in Central Europe. It is of unknown age, and consists of four stacked circular layers. The diameter at the base is 14 metres and the height is 7 metres. It has only been under official monument protection since 2001. The original purpose of the pyramid is unknown.

Tanner Moor

Tanner Moor is one of the largest moorlands in Austria with a surface area of 120 hectares. Tanner Moor is a Natura 2000 ecologically protected area located on a high granite plateau in the Freistadt district, Mühlviertel, Upper Austria at an average elevation of 900 m. The moorland is watered exclusively by rain and is almost completely covered with pine trees.
