Alpendorf

Alpendorf (German for alpine village) is a village and a part of the town St. Johann im Pongau, located 55 km south of the Austrian city of Salzburg. It is at an altitude of 850 m above sea level. It is situated 3 km away from the town centre of Sankt Johann im Pongau, a large town dominated by the Cathedral of Pongau. The economy is largely dependent on tourism, particularly during the winter months when thousands of predominantly German, Danish and Dutch skiers visiting the village.

Liechtensteinklamm

Liechtensteinklamm (Liechtenstein Gorge) is a particularly narrow gorge with walls up to 300m high, located in the Austrian Alps 50km south of Salzburg. It is around 4km long and named after Johann II of Liechtenstein who had the walkways installed in 1875.

The Bezirk Sankt Johann im Pongau is an administrative district in the federal state of Salzburg, Austria, and congruent with the Pongau region. Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze

Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze ("Paul Ausserleitner Hill") was opened in 1941, and re-built in 2003, and is a ski jumping venue in Bischofshofen, Austria. It is one of the more important venues in the FIS Ski jumping World Cup, annually hosting the fourth and final competition of the prestigious Four Hills Tournament. It is named after Paul Ausserleitner, an Austrian ski jumper who died of the consequences of a fall on this hill in 1952.
