Lavant viaduct

The Lavant viaduct is a motorway bridge crossing the Lavant River on the A2 autobahn, in Carinthia, Austria. With the length of 1.097 m and height of 165 m, it is also the second-highest bridge in Austria. The first (left) bridge was opened on 26 July 1986. Due to the cost-cutting reasons, the second (right) bridge was not constructed, as the section from Bad Sankt Leonhard im Lavanttal to Wolfsberg was open only on the left side.

Piber Federal Stud

The Piber Federal Stud (Bundesgestüt Piber) is a stud farm dedicated to the breeding of Lipizzan horses, located at the village of Piber, near the town of Köflach in western Styria, Austria. It was founded in 1798, began breeding Lipizzan horses in 1920, and today is the primary breeding farm that produces the stallions used by the Spanish Riding School, where the best stallions of each generation bred at Piber are brought for training and later public performance.
