Ötztal is a railway station on the Arlberg railway between Innsbruck and Bludenz in Tyrol, Austria. In Ötztal the second track coming from Innsbruck ends and the Arlberg line continues as a single-track railway till Landeck.

Ötztaler Ache

The Ötztaler Ache is a right tributary of the Inn River in the Imst (district) and flows through the Ötztal valley with a length of appr. 35 km. It merges with the Inn River 8 km east of Imst. The river is one of the biggest tributaries with plenty of water. The dangerous water of the river devastated the valley several times but nevertheless rafting – fans love the whitewater.

Tyrolean Zugspitze Cable Car

The Tyrolean Zugspitze Cable Car, which opened in 1926, connects the Austrian town of Ehrwald (1225 metres above sea level) with the top station at 2950 metres above sea level next to the summit of Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain on the border of Austria. The top station is opposite to the top station of the German Eibsee Cable Car. It has a length of 3600 metres and an elevation gain of 1725 metres. The Tyrolean Zugspitze Cable Car runs over three aerial lift pylons.

The Bezirk Imst is an administrative district in Tyrol, Austria. It borders the district Reutte in the north, as well as sharing a small border with Bavaria. It borders the district Innsbruck-Land in the east, South Tyrol in the south, and the district Landeck in the west.
