Kitzbüheler Ache

The Kitzbühler Ache is a river in the Kitzbühel district, Tyrol, Austria. As Jochberger Ache it sources near Pass Thurn. Jochberg, Aurach bei Kitzbühel, Kitzbühel and Oberndorf in Tirol are situated along the river. At the southern town limits of St. Johann in Tirol first the Reither Ache flows into the Kitzbühler Ache, later also the Fieberbrunner Ache, forming the Großache, which flows as Tiroler Achen in Bavaria into the Chiemsee. It has a length of app. 66 km.

Lauchsee

The Lauchsee is a large moor lake, 2.3 hectares in area, in the Tyrolean district of Kitzbühel. It lies on the territory of the municipality of Fieberbrunn above the Pletzerbach at a height of 859 m AA. The lake has two small islands and its maximum depth is 4.3 metres. There is a swimming baths on the Lauchsee called the Moorbad Lauchsee.

Kitzbüheler Horn

The Kitzbüheler Horn (also spelt Kitzbühler Horn) is one of the most important mountains in the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol, Austria, whose eastern flank lies near the smart ski resort of Kitzbühel. With a height of 1,996 m AA it only just misses being a 'two-thousander'. At the summit is a 102 metre high TV tower belonging to the ORF and known as the Kitzbüheler Horn Transmission Tower (Sendeturm Kitzbüheler Horn). The Harschbichl (1,604 m) is a sub-peak to the north which is also accessible.
