Paznaun

The Paznaun is a valley in Tyrol, Austria leading south-west from Pians (850 m) to the Bielerhöhe (2036 m), a mountain pass at the border of Vorarlberg and Tyrol. The Paznaun is watered by the Trisanna and surrounded by the Central Eastern Alps, specifically, the mountain ranges of Verwall in the north, Samnaun in the south-east and Silvretta in the south-west. The main villages in the Paznaun are See (1050m), Kappl (1226m), Ischgl (1377m) and Galtür (1586m).

Landeck District

The Bezirk Landeck is an administrative district in Tyrol, Austria. It borders the district Reutte in the north, the district Imst in the east, South Tyrol and Graubünden in the south, and the district Bludenz in the west. The area of the district is 1,594.7 km². The population is 43,943 (January 1, 2012), with a population density of 28 persons per km². The administrative center is Landeck.

Arlberg Railway Tunnel

The Arlberg Railway Tunnel with a length of 10.6 kilometres is the central part of the Arlberg railway in western Austria between the provinces of Tyrol and Vorarlberg. The tunnel runs through the Arlberg massif at the northeastern end of the Rhaetian Alps. It opened on December 21, 1884 as a single-track tunnel. The traffic through the tunnel grew so quickly, that a second track was opened by July 15, 1885. It starts kilometre 99.5 in the station of St.
