Attersee (lake)
Attersee (also known as the Kammersee or Lake Attersee) is the largest lake of the Salzkammergut area of Austria. It extends for about 20 km from north to south and 4 km from east to west. Its water comes from the Seeache, which flows out of another lake, the Mondsee. The Höllengebirge (literally meaning mountains of hell), with a height of up to 1,800 m, are located southeast of the lake. Situated to the southwest of the lake is the Schafberg (the "Sheep Mountain", 1,782 m).

Seeache
The "Seeache" is the natural outflow of the Mondsee (lake) and flows into the Attersee (lake) after 3 kilometres. The rapid river possesses Grade A to B water quality and is often used for rafting . In the Seeache are now living perlfishes.

Taferlklaussee
The Taferlklaussee was created in 1716 by the damming of the Aurach Creek. The lake can be reached on foot by a 3.5-hour hike from the village of Altmünster in Upper Austria. The lake's clear water is of drinking water quality. In winter, the lake is used for skating and curling.

Schafberg
Schafberg is a mountain in the Austrian state of Salzburg. Its height is 1783 metres. Situated within the Salzkammergut mountain range of the Northern Limestone Alps, the Schafberg rises at the shore of a lake called Wolfgangsee. During the summer, the Schafbergbahn, a rack railway opened in 1893, runs from the small town of St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut on the shores of the Wolfgangsee to the summit.
