Loučovice
Loučovice is a village in South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has around 1,950 inhabitants. First known settlements existed before year 1250. The Vyšší Brod Pass (in Czech Vyšebrodský průsmyk, in German Hohenfurther Pass) is a mountain pass near the Czech city of Vyšší Brod, separating the mountain ranges of Šumava and the Nové Hrady Mountains. It is located on the border between Austria and the Czech Republic, with an altitude of 752 metres . Since the Roman times a road connecting Danube and Bohemia went cross the pass. The old road was replaced by a motorway in modern times.
