Alota is one of the cantons of the Enrique Baldivieso Province (or "San Agustín Municipality") in the Potosí Department in south-west Bolivia. During the census of 2001 it had 533 inhabitants. Its seat is Alota with a population of 515 in 2001.

Enrique Baldivieso Province

Enrique Baldivieso is a province in the Bolivian department of Potosí. It is named after the former vice president Enrique Baldivieso. Its seat is San Agustín with a population of 533 during the census of 2001 situated on the bank of the Turuncha River in San Agustín Canton.

Nor Lípez Province

Nor Lípez is a province in the Bolivian department of Potosí. Its seat is Colcha "K", also called Villa Martín. The majority of the province's area was titled as the Nor Lípez Native Community Land on 19 April 2011. One of Bolivia's largest mines, the San Cristóbal Mine, is located near San Cristóbal in Colcha "K" municipality.
