Barcelos, Amazonas

Barcelos is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Amazonas. Its population was 32,169 (2005) and its area is 122.476 square kilometres, making it the second largest municipality in Brazil, equivalent in size to New York state in the United States and slightly larger than North Korea. The city is served by Barcelos Airport with scheduled services to Manaus.

Rio Demini

Rio Demini (sometimes known in English as "the Demini River") is a river in the Amazon Rainforest of Amazonas, Brazil. Rio Toototobi is a tributary of the upper part of it near the headwaters of the Orinoco near the border of Venezuela. The Yanomami índios are native to this area.
