VASP Flight 168

VASP Flight 168, a Boeing 727-212A, serial number 21347, registered PP-SRK, was a scheduled passenger flight from Rio de Janeiro to Fortaleza, Brazil, on June 8, 1982, which crashed into terrain while descending into Fortaleza, killing all 137 people on board. Flight 168 crash has the fourth-highest death toll of any aviation accident in Brazil after the crash of Gol Transportes Aéreos Flight 1907, TAM Airlines Flight 3054 and Air France Flight 447.

Caucaia

Caucaia is a Brazilian city in the state of Ceará of about 300,000 inhabitants. Caucaia sits right next to the capital city of Fortaleza and is also home to a state garden park. There is a market in the center of the town with lots of fish, exotic fruits, and souvenirs for the many tourists that go there. Caucaia can be reached by the train that departs from the center of the city by the Feiras in downtown.

Maracanaú

Maracanaú is a town located at 03° 52' 37" South 38° 37' 33" West in the state of Ceará, Brazil. Its name comes from Tupi language and means "lagoon where maracanãs drink", because of the presence of these birds flying over the lagoons in the city's area. In 2006, there were about 196,000 inhabitants.

Port of Pecem

The Port of Pecem is one of the two big ports in the state of Ceará, in Brazil. It's located in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante. In the year of 2012 the port handled 4.15 million metric tons of cargo, and kept the first position in the exports of tropical fruits among all Brazilian ports. As of 2010, the Port of Pecém entered into a phased expansion under the Brazilian government's Growth Acceleration Program (PAC2).
