Montes Claros

Montes Claros is a city located in northern Minas Gerais state, in Brazil. The estimated population in 2010 was 412,284 inhabitants and the total area of the municipality was 3,470 km² (97 km² urban). It was made a seat of a municipality in 1831 and attained city status in 1857. In 2011, the most famous Brazilian magazine entitled Veja, published a report including Montes Claros as an example of richness and welfare in the recent Brazilian's economy good moment.

Francisco Sá, Minas Gerais

Francisco Sá is a municipality in the north of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. As of 2007 the population was 24,838 in a total area of 2,749 km². The elevation is 664 meters above sea level. Francisco Sá is located 51 km northeast of regional center Montes Claros and is on highway BR-251. It is part of the IBGE statistical microregion of Montes Claros. The main economic activity is cattle raising with 150,720 head counted in 2006.
