João Pessoa

João Pessoa is the capital of the state of Paraíba in Brazil. It was founded in 1585 and sometimes is called the city where the sun rises first, as it is the easternmost city in the Americas at 34º47'38"W, 7º9'28"S. The easternmost point, there, is known as Ponta do Seixas. The city is considered "the second greenest in the world", and has more than 7 square kilometres of forested land, second only to Paris, France.

Bayeux, Paraíba

Bayeux is a municipality in the state of Paraíba in the Northeast Region of Brazil. Presidente Castro Pinto International Airport which serves the state capital is located at Bayeux. The municipality was called Barreiros until 1944, when the name was changed to celebrate the first city of the Battle of Normandy to be liberated, Bayeux, France, during the Second World War.

Ponta do Seixas

Ponta do Seixas, also known as Cape Branco, is a cape on the Atlantic coast of Paraíba state, eastern Brazil, that forms the easternmost point of the American continent, five miles southeast of João Pessoa, the state capital. It is surrounded by white sand beaches bordered by flat-topped forms of sedimentary strata called "tabuleiros", which rise sharply above the beaches to heights between 150 and 500 ft, and enjoys abundant rainfall.
