Scarborough is a district within the eastern part of the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It comprises the area and neighbourhoods of the former city of Scarborough, a municipality which was amalgamated into the city of Toronto in 1998. Scarborough is bordered on the south by Lake Ontario, on the west by Victoria Park Avenue, on the north by Steeles Avenue East, and on the east by the Rouge River and the City of Pickering.

McCowan (TTC)

McCowan is a station on the Scarborough RT line of the Toronto subway and RT. It is located at 1275 McCowan Road, just north of Ellesmere Road at Bushby Drive/Town Centre Court. It was opened in 1985. Both of the surface routes that pass the McCowan station also stop at Scarborough Centre station, located almost directly across McCowan Road, effectively leaving McCowan as a dead-end in the system. The station will eventually be part of the Eglinton–Scarborough Crosstown line.

Scarborough Civic Centre

The Scarborough Civic Centre, located in Toronto, Ontario, was designed by architect Raymond Moriyama for the then Borough of Scarborough. It was officially opened by then mayor Albert Campbell and Queen Elizabeth II in 1973. The building served as the municipal office and office for the Scarborough Board of Education. From 1983 to 1997 it was City Hall for the then City of Scarborough.
