Drayton, Ontario

Drayton is a community in Wellington County, Ontario, Canada. It is a part of the township of Mapleton in North Wellington County. The village is on the corner of Wellington Road 8 and Wellington Road 11, geographically northwest of Fergus and southwest of Arthur.

Parker, Ontario

Parker was a settlement in the Canadian province of Ontario, located along the Elora-Saugeen road. Settlers moved to the area to begin new lives and to farm. To provide accommodation for the horse-drawn travellers, a hotel opened in 1850. In 1865, Thomas Burns opened a small post office. This brought a few neighbouring businesses to the area. As travel became more modern, the need for overnight stay diminished and the town began to dwindle.

Stirton, Ontario

In 1867, Charles Hendry opened a flax mill employing 60 workers in Stirton, Ontario. He also built a tannery and sawmill. Other businesses included the wagon maker, hotel, shoe maker, harness maker, school and Methodist church. The post office was operated by John Sanderson. Samuel Crookshanks was the blacksmith and A. Grant manager of the flax mill. Henry Stricker and his brother-in-law Ludwig Brown operated the tannery. In its prime, the town had a population of approximately 150 people.

Cotswold is a small community located in the Town of Minto, in the northern part of Wellington County in southern Ontario, Canada. Cotswold was originally a separate community, but was amalgamated with other communities to create the Town of Minto.

Norwell District Secondary School, formerly known as Palmerston High School, and often simply called Norwell or NDSS, is a mid-sized composite high school located in Palmerston, Ontario. The school serves an area of approximately 500 km², including the communities of Palmerston, Harriston, Drayton, Clifford, Moorefield, Rothsay, and for French Immersion, students from more distant towns such as Mount Forest. Most students (over 90%) are bused in.
