Wareham, Ontario

Wareham is a community in Grey County, Ontario. It is about 80 km northwest of Brampton, Ontario and about 60 km west of Barrie, Ontario. It is south of The Blue Mountains, Ontario and of the Grey Highlands. Wareham is close to the Osprey Wetland Conservation Lands. Both the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority and the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority bought land here to protect the headwaters of several important rivers.

Amaranth Wind Farm

The Amaranth Wind Farm, also known as the Melancthon EcoPower Centre, is a 199.5 megawatt (MW) wind farm in Amaranth and Melancthon Township, near Shelburne, Ontario. The centre, Canada's largest wind energy installation, is owned and operated by TransAlta. Construction of the Melancthon EcoPower Centre began with the 67.5 MW Phase I in 2005 and achieved commercial operation in March 2006.

Flesherton

Flesherton (population 700) is a community in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, in Grey County, Ontario, Canada, located at the junction of Highway 10 and Grey County Road 4. Although the area initially showed a high rate of growth in the 1850s and its founder believed that it would become an important centre of economic activity, growth stagnated when an all-important rail link bypassed it, and the community never grew larger than a small village.

Grey Highlands Secondary School

Grey Highlands Secondary School is a Grade 9-12 high school located in Flesherton, Ontario, Canada, in rural Grey County. It was built in 1967 as part of a province-wide upgrade of educational facilities. Unlike typical rural high schools of the time that were designed only to graduate matriculation students, it was envisioned as a multi-disciplinary facility for students of all educational paths.
