Matheson House (Perth)

Matheson House is a historic house in Perth, Ontario, Canada. It was constructed in 1840 for Roderick Matheson, a local merchant and later a member of the Senate of Canada. A two-storey, five-bay sandstone house of Palladian-inspired design, Matheson House is surrounded by a stone garden wall. After Roderick Matheson's death in 1873, the house was inherited by Arthur James Matheson, a lawyer and member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

Perth and District Collegiate Institute

Perth and District Collegiate Institute (PDCI) is the oldest secondary school in the town of Perth, Ontario. It is part of the Upper Canada District School Board. PDCI was previously known as Perth Collegiate Institute (PCI) and Perth High School. It is located at 13 Victoria Street, Perth, Ontario.

Tay Canal

The Tay Canal is the portion of the Tay River in the Eastern region of Southern Ontario extending from Beveridge Bay on Lower Rideau Lake to the town of Perth. The canal is 9.8 km (6.1 mi) in length and is operated today by Parks Canada as part of their Rideau Canal operations. At the entrance to the Tay Canal are two locks, Upper and Lower Beveridges which provide a total lift of 7.6 m (25 ft.)

Rideau Ferry, Ontario

Rideau Ferry is a small community in Eastern Ontario, Canada, along the Rideau Waterway. Rideau Ferry straddles a narrow stretch of water joining the Big Rideau Lake to the Lower Rideau Lake. At Rideau Ferry, the south shore of the Rideau Waterway is located within the Township of Rideau Lakes in Leeds and Grenville County, and the north shore is located within the township of Drummond/North Elmsley in Lanark County.

Long Lake (Lanark County)

Long Lake is a lake in eastern Ontario, Canada in the municipality of Tay Valley in Lanark County. The lake is nearly 3 km long and about 600m wide at its widest. Long Lake is fed by a number of small tributaries leading to intermittent lakes. It is drained by an unnamed creek leading to Adams Lake. Long Lake has five islands, the largest being Farry Island. The lake has a number of cottages lining the northern and southeastern shores.
