Beverley Township, Ontario

Beverley Township was a township established in 1792 in Home District in the then Upper Canada, today Ontario, Canada. It was named for the town of Beverley in Yorkshire, England, by John Graves Simcoe. The township became part of Halton County when that county was created as part of Gore District in 1816, and was then transferred to Wentworth County in 1853. When the Regional Municipality of Hamilton–Wentworth was created in 1974, most of Beverley Township was absorbed by Flamborough, Ontario.

Sheffield, Ontario

Sheffield (population 304) is a community in the single-tier municipality of Hamilton, Ontario. It is located just off Highway 8, on the municipality's boundary with the Region of Waterloo. It is ten kilometres from the city of Cambridge and thirty-five from Hamilton's downtown core. The village lay on the road between the two cities until 1959, when the Sheffield Bypass was completed.
