Lake Lovering

Lake Lovering is a lake located in the Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality of the Estrie region of Quebec, Canada. It is located south of the city of Magog. Lake Lovering is 6 kilometres long by 0.75 kilometres wide. It has a surface area of 4.6 square kilometres and an average depth of 25 metres . It is situated at an elevation of 243 metres . Lake Lovering is contaminated with polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB), dioxins and furans.

Lake Memphremagog is a fresh water glacial lake located between Newport, Vermont, United States and Magog, Quebec, Canada. The name Memphremagog is derived from Algonkian, in which it means "where there is a big expanse of water".

Saint Benedict Abbey, Quebec

Saint Benedict Abbey, in an Abbey in Saint-Benoît-du-Lac, Quebec, Canada, and was founded in 1912 by the exiled of St. Wandrille, France under Abbot Dom Joseph Pothier, liturgist and scholar who reconstituted the Gregorian chant. Father Paul Bellot, was the architect 1939-41. The new priory later became independent within the Solesmes Congregation. Today it numbers a little more than fifty monks living under the Rule of Saint Benedict.

Province Island

Province Island (French: Île de la Province) is an island mostly in the Canadian province of Québec, but partly in the American state of Vermont. It is situated in Lake Memphremagog. The total island's area is 0.31 km². Although 0.028 km² at its southern point is part of the USA, the predominant part belongs to the city of Magog (known as Mem-Toag by the Native North Americans), in Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality, Quebec.
