Elbow, Saskatchewan

Elbow is a village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. It was founded in 1909, near what is now Lake Diefenbaker. It is 8 km northwest of Mistusinne, 10 km northwest of Douglas Provincial Park and 16 km southeast of Loreburn. The town got its name from its position on the elbow of the South Saskatchewan River. The town contains a marina for boat storage and house boat rental, a golf course, a boat dealership and two restaurants.

Nutana Pioneer Cemetery

Nutana Pioneer Cemetery is a cemetery located in the Diefenbaker Management Area of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The Cemetery is along the bank of the South Saskatchewan River. The cemetery is a designated Provincial heritage cite. Established in 1884, many of the earliest settlers in Saskatoon are buried at the cemetery. The Nutana Cemetery Company owned by cemetery from 1905 until 1910 when it became the property of the City of Saskatoon.

Mistusinne, Saskatchewan

Mistusinne is a resort village in Maple Bush Rural Municipality No. 224, Saskatchewan, Canada. The population was 56 at the 2006 Census. The village's name is derived from the Plains Cree word mistasiniy (meaning "big stone") which refers to a massive stone that resembled a sleeping bison that once rested in the Qu'Appelle Valley before Lake Diefenbaker was built.
