La Silla Observatory
La Silla Observatory is an astronomical observatory in Chile with three telescopes built and operated by the European Southern Observatory (ESO). Several telescopes are located at the site and are partly maintained by ESO. The observatory is one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere and was the first in Chile to be used by ESO.

Swedish-ESO Submillimetre Telescope
The Swedish-ESO Submillimetre Telescope (SEST) was a radio telescope of diameter 15 metres located at the La Silla Observatory in Chile. The telescope was built in 1987 as a combined project between ESO and Onsala Space Observatory, with contributions from Finland and Australia. It was then the only large telescope for submillimetre astronomy in the southern hemisphere. It was decommissioned in 2003.

Leonhard Euler Telescope, or Swiss 1.2-m Leonhard Euler Telescope, is a 1.2-metre diameter aperture reflecting telescope at the Geneva Observatory at La Silla Observatory. It is use for astronomy, and runs the CORALIE echelle spectrograph to search for planets. Its first planet discovery was of one in orbit around Gliese 86. It was determined to be a 4MJ planet with an orbital period of 15.8 earth days.

The New Technology Telescope or NTT is an Alt-Az, 3.58-metre Richey-Chretien telescope part of the European Southern Observatory and began operations in 1989. It is located in Chile at the La Silla Observatory and was an early pioneer on the use of active optics. The telescope and its enclosure developed a revolutionary design for optimal image quality.

MPG/ESO telescope
The MPG/ESO telescope is a 2.2-m ground-based telescope at the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in La Silla, Chile. It was built by Zeiss and has been operating since 1984. It is on indefinite loan to the European Southern Observatory from the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy. Telescope time is shared between MPG and ESO observing programmes, while the operation and maintenance of the telescope are ESO’s responsibility.
