Hunan Agricultural University

Hunan Agricultural University (pinyin: Húnán Nóngyè Dàxué, commonly referred to as HUNAU or Nongda) is a public research university located in Changsha, Hunan, China. Founded in 1951, the University was incorporated by two independent colleges under the name "Hunan Agricultural College". Since Hunan was an agricultural powerhouse for the country, Mao Zedong, the founding father of the People's Republic of China, inscribed the school's name on its entrance sign.

Zhuzhou

Zhuzhou, formerly Jianning, is a city in Hunan Province, China, a little to the southeast of Changsha and beside the Xiangjiang River. It is part of the "ChangZhuTan Golden Triangle" (comprising the cities of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan). The city has jurisdiction over 5 counties and four districts, and covers an area of 11,420 km². It had 3,855,609 inhabitants as of the 2010 census, of whom 806,988 lived in the built-up area (4 urban districts).

Changsha Ferris Wheel

Changsha Ferris Wheel is a 120-metre tall giant Ferris wheel in Changsha, Hunan, China. It was completed on September 30, 2004, and officially opened to the public on October 1, 2004. It has a diameter of 99 metres . Changsha Ferris Wheel is one of four 120 m Ferris wheels in China, the other three being Suzhou Ferris Wheel (completed 2009), Tianjin Eye (completed 2008), and Zhengzhou Ferris Wheel (completed 2003).

Helong Stadium

Helong Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Changsha, Hunan province, China. It is named after the Communist military leader He Long, who was born in the same province. The stadium is currently used mostly for football matches. It holds 55,000 people, and was constructed in 1987. The stadium is an all-seater, with a roof covering all spectators. Helong Stadium is the home ground of local football team Changsha Ginde.

Mawangdui

Mawangdui is an archaeological site located in Changsha, China. The site consists of two saddle-shaped hills and contained the tombs of three people from the western Han Dynasty (206 BCE – 9 CE): Marquis Li Cang, his wife, and a male believed to have been their son. The site was excavated from 1972 to 1974. Most of the artifacts from Mawangdui are displayed at the Hunan Provincial Museum.
