Beiyang
The term Beiyang originated toward the end of the Qing Dynasty, and it referred to the coastal areas of Zhili, Liaoning, and Shandong in northeast China. Anshan Jade Buddha
Anshan Jade Buddha is one of the largest jade Buddha statues in the world. It is located in a large temple complex of 22,104 square metres situated beside Dongshan Scenic Reserve within 219 park of Anshan City in Liaoning province, China. The statue was sculpted from a piece of jade 7.95 metres high, 6.88 metres wide, 4.10 metres thick, weighing 260.76 tonnes . The front of the stone has been carved with an image of Sakyamuni (aka. Gautama) Buddha.
