Mount Hua

Mount Hua, or Hua Shan, or Xiyue (Chinese: 西岳; pinyin: Xīyuè; literally "western great mountain") is a mountain located near the city of Huayin in Shaanxi province, about 120 kilometres east of Xi'an. It is one of China's Five Great Mountains, and has a long history of religious significance. Originally classified as having three peaks, in modern times the mountain is classified as five main peaks, of which the highest is the South Peak at 2,154.9 metres .

Huayin

Huayin is a county-level city in Weinan, Shaanxi, China. Prior to 1990, Huayin had been regarded as a county. Huayin literally means to the north of Mount Hua, because it is situated to the north of that mountain.

Luo River (Shaanxi)

Luo River is a tributary of the Wei River. It flows through the Loess Plateau and has a length of about 680 km. The area between the Luo and the Yellow River was called 'Hexi' (literally 'west of the River') and was fought over by Qin (state) and Wei (state).
