Manas County
Manas County is a county in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and is under the administration of the Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture. It contains an area of 9,174 km. According to the 2002 census, it has a population of 170,000. The county seat is the old town of Manas (玛纳斯), located on the Manasi River just east of Shihezi.
