Raša (river)

The river Raša, in Croatian Istria is a major river of Croatia's Istria County. It is 23 kilometres long, and its basin covers an area of 279 km . Its mouth is in the long ria of Raški zaljev/Porto d'Arsia, which is a drowned river valley scoured out when world sea levels were lowered, then drowned by the rising waters of the post glacial era. The Raša rises in springs near Pićan and flows south through a steep-sided valley before opening into the head of the Adriatic Sea.

Rabac

Rabac, a Croatian village in Istria, is a large resort town on Kvarner Bay, just southeast of Labin. Long a small fishing port of just three dozen homes, Rabac has grown in recent years into a resort town with numerous villas and apartment buildings. The Rabac Festival is an annual electronic music festival that has been held there for many years; 3000 people attended in 2002. Hotels Three major hotels and a camping site are situated on the first beach.

Peroj

Peroj is a village in the Vodnjan municipality on the south-western coast of Istria, Croatia. Peroj originally dates back to the Copper age of prehistory, as testified by a necropolis within the old walls of the town. The town has been settled with families from a variety of origins throughout its history. During the occupation of the Romans, the town was named Pedrolo, and was a popular holiday destination.
