Plomin

Plomin is a village in the Croatian part of Istria, situated approximately 11 km north of Labin, on an 80 meters high hill. It is a popular destination for tourists traveling through Istria by road. Originally named Flanona, the settlement was built in Roman times, above the bay bearing the same name. Plomin was abandoned after World War II, due to the bay becoming too muddy and its inhabitants, mostly Italians, emigrating to Italy.

Plomin Power Station

Plomin Power Station is a coal fired power station near Plomin, Croatia. As of 2007, its production corresponded to 13% of Croatia's electricity needs. The power plant consists of two boiler units, TE Plomin 1 built in 1969 and TE Plomin 2 built in 2000. Both are operated by Hrvatska elektroprivreda, and the latter is co-owned with RWE Power AG. They generate a total of 330 megawatt. In 2007 their total output was 2187 gigawatt hours; in 2009 it was 1927 GWh.

Mošćenice

Mošćenice (also called Župa Mošćenice) is a village in the municipality of Mošćenička Draga in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County on the Istrian peninsula, close to Opatija, Croatia. It is a typical hilltop village with stone houses and narrow streets situated 173 meters above Mošćenička Draga. From Mošćenice one has a nice view across the Kvarner Gulf to Rijeka and the islands of Krk and Cres. The village is connected to the Mošćenička Draga by road and 750 steps which lead from Sv.

Rabac

Rabac, a Croatian village in Istria, is a large resort town on Kvarner Bay, just southeast of Labin. Long a small fishing port of just three dozen homes, Rabac has grown in recent years into a resort town with numerous villas and apartment buildings. The Rabac Festival is an annual electronic music festival that has been held there for many years; 3000 people attended in 2002.
